How to store scrapbook supplies cheaply and easily? You have more options than you know!

Storing your scrapbook supplies can be one of the most difficult parts of creating scrapbooks. You need to keep all those small items separate but visible and accessible.

You may also want to organize them as you store them, such as for different colors or occasions.

Most people actually have more ways of storing scrapbook supplies than they imagine. It's simply a matter of innovation and imagination! Here are some quick suggestions.

Clothesline

To keep your papers organized, and to do the same for pages you're working on, string some clothesline across the room. It doesn't need to be in the middle of the room; something close to the wall is fine.  You can also attach some hooks to the wall and string the clothesline (or any strong line) along these hooks.

Use hinged clothes pins to clip your papers onto this line. You can also use small binder clips to do the same.  This is a great way to store your scrapbook supplies and papers or pages up and off the work area and out of the way of traffic in the room!

Can Caps

How many times do you toss out a spray can and its cap? Those plastic caps make for great small storage bins for embellishments. Clean and dry them thoroughly, and then use a marker to note on the front what's inside. If you use the same types of embellishments or stickers repeatedly, put one on the outside of the cap so you know what's inside.

If you have a corkboard in the area in which you scrap, you can use a heavy duty pushpin to tack the cap to the corkboard. This will keep your scrapbook supplies, stickers, and other embellishments up off the table and out of your way.

Letter Envelopes

A box of letter-sized envelopes can be purchased at the dollar store.  To make them into an easily accessible tool for storing scrapbook supplies, remove the back flap.  This gives you a slight view of what's inside.

You can also easily write on the outside, either side, what you're storing such as "pink heart stickers" or "Thanksgiving items."  These too can be pinned to a corkboard; put the pin inside the envelope rather than through the entire thing so that you can easily reach inside to get what you need.
